Choosing The Right Facial Mask

Your skin is your body’s largest organ. It’s also the first thing that most people notice about you. It shields your bones, muscles, and blood vessels. Skin is so vital, so why do people not take better care of it?

Not drinking enough water, going out in the sun without sunscreen, and using harsh chemical products adds to the damage. There are a ton of products on the market nowadays to help you keep your skin healthy, including facial masks.

Facial mask products are available for any skin type or condition. Do you suffer from acne or blackheads? There are facial masks that you simply apply, let dry and then peel off. Dead skin covering blackheads will become unclogged which helps clear them up. There are also facial masks that you apply and allow to dry, like mud masks. When you are done, you wash your face with warm water to remove the mud mask. In case you do not like the mud mask options, the facial sheet masks are available as well.

Mud masks have many benefits, including oil control. The impurities in your skin’s pores are removed by the mud mask, and appearance of those pores will be minimized. Blemishes and pimple growth is reduced and blackheads dissolve and wash away.

Beauty Tip 1: Before applying your face mask, dab a small amount of eye gel or eye cream around the eyes. This will help to protect this very delicate area from dehydration.

Beauty Tip 2: When your face mask mask has dried and it’s time to come off, simply place a warm, wet washcloth over your face and hold it onto your skin for a few seconds. Repeat this a few times to help loosen up and dissolve the face mask from your skin. This tip will make the rinsing off process much easier and gentler for your skin.

Sheet masks are face-shaped sheet fabrics soaked in nutrition-packed solution called serum. The sheet is made up of variety of materials including papers, fibers or gel types.

These sheet masks are different from facial masks (paste type) that you only need to apply, take off or pat in extra serum instead of washing the paste after applying and putting on other skincare products. Sheet mask is generally used once and it is individually packaged, making them fast, convenient, and easy to use.

Benefits to using a facial sheet mask: They bring fast effects in regards to enhancing the skin. The serum is filled with various vitamins and minerals, and won’t dry out the skin compared to the paste-type face mask. The sheet on your face helps the serum to soak in your skin a little longer. Some of the sheets also claim to brighten and make your skin firm. Basically, sheet masks are inexpensive compared to going to a spa, convenient, easy to apply, and brings a glowing effect on your skin.

The video below includes some do’s and dont’s to consider when using facial sheet masks.

Sheet Mask’s Do’s and Dont’s

Everyone should introduce masking into their skin care regimen, if they haven’t done so already. For just a few (relaxing) minutes a day, your skin will go through a noticeable transformation that you can see and feel. You may look silly doing it, but that makes it all the more fun.
