Blemish Busting Smoothie Benefits
This smoothie is one that my family and I are loving, not because it tastes amazing, but because it’s packed full of wholesome ingredients that can help fight off colds & fight off blemishes and make your skin grow.
Pineapple– an excellent source of vitamin C (fights of free radicals to prevent aging lines) and manganese… also a good source of vitamin B1, vitamin B6, dietary fiber, folate and pantothenic acid.
Raspberries– contain a good amount of anthocyanin pigments which are natural antioxidants (which reduce the age spots and discoloration, similar to strawberries). They also protect the skin against the sun’s UV rays.
Banana– rich in pectin, a soluble dietary fiber and natural detoxifying agent, which is great for digestion. Not necessarily super great for skin, but good for your overall health… also it helps make this smoothie nice and creamy.
Spinach– loaded with antioxidants, which are important for normal skin cell development and encourage a healthy skin tone. Vitamin A in spinach can also help your skin retain moisture to fight against dryness & acne.
Strawberries– rich in vitamin C, they can help remove the excess sebum on skin & lighten blemishes/acne scars.
Flaxseed– the omega-3 fatty acids in flaxseeds increase the speed at which wounds heal. Flaxseed is also known for it’s anti-inflammatory levels which help minimize skin irritation, rashes, inflammation and redness.

Ingredients
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 tbsp flaxseed

Instructions
- Place all ingredients in the bowl of blender, placing the heaviest ones on top. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
