This detox smoothie includes some delicious ingredients packed with so many detoxing and skin health benefits.
Bananas – loaded with many nutrients like vitamin A, zinc, and manganese, which are anti-inflammatory.
Pineapples – contains vitamin C and beta carotene. These antioxidants can help reduce wrinkles, improve overall skin texture, and minimize skin damage from sun and pollution exposure.
Kale – rich in vitamins C, E, and K. Together, these vitamins help your skin look younger and healthier.
Ginger – helps your skin by flushing out toxins, it also encourages blood circulation. Other benefits include reducing the damage that is caused thanks to free radicals and making the skin more taut.
Lemon – contains vitamin C, an antioxidant that may help reduce skin damage and premature aging.
Chia seeds – rich in the omega-3 fatty acid ALA and omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid. These two healthy fats have been shown to help restore the skin’s moisture barrier, especially in those with dry skin conditions, such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
- 1 cup of frozen banana (diced)
- 3 cups of frozen pineapple (diced)
- 3 cups of kale
- 1 tablespoon of ginger (grated)
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
