Who doesn’t love a good frozen margarita. Whether you like salt or sugar around the rim of this tasty drink, this quick recipe is just for you. Don’t be alarmed you can still spice up this virgin margarita with your favorite non-virgin mixture. In celebration of Margarita Day, my daughter and I decided to make a frozen strawberry margarita that takes about five minutes to make.
Here are the ingredients and steps to this tasty treat:
INGREDIENTS
- 1/3 cup coarse sugar or salt
- 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons agave or honey
- 1 1/2 cups crushed ice
- 2 fresh strawberries for garnish

DIRECTIONS
Step 1. Place the chopped strawberries, orange juice, lime juice and agave/honey into a blender and pulse several times to blend. Taste and if necessary, add more agave/honey. Add crushed ice and pulse until desired consistency is reached. Pour the drink into the prepared glasses.
Step 2. Prepare the margarita glasses. Add coarse sugar to a shallow bowl. Wet the glass rims with a lime wedge and press the glass top in the sugar to coat the rim.
Step 3. Garnish each drink with a fresh strawberry with the green leaves on top, slice them half through lengthwise from the bottom and place one on the rim of each glass right before serving.
