Have all the frame fun you want, but being a glasses wearer completely changes how your face looks, which means that the way you wear your makeup with glasses should be different from how you wear it without. Here are 5 tips to keep your look specs-tacular.
Makeup Tip #1: Glasses tend to cast a shadow on the face that makes under-eye discoloration seem worse. Instead of piling on the concealer, start with a corrector to make sure you completely neutralize any darkness.
Makeup Tip #2: Volumizing mascaras are best for glasses wearers. Lengthen your lashes too much and they’ll start to touch your eyewear which is an eerie feeling. Be sure to separate your lashes while they’re wet, any clumps are only magnified with glasses. If you’re worried about getting mascara flecks on your lenses, stick to creamy formulas
Makeup Tip #3: When it comes to eyeliner, let your frames guide you. Thinner eyeliner compliments thinner frames and thicker frames will accentuate a thick eyeliner. Practice your tightlining. Any spaces between your lashes and your liner will only be accentuated when you slip on your glasses.
Makeup Tip #4: When it comes to eye shadow and glasses, keep it neutral and bright. Darker shadows can make your eyes look sunken in and tired. A shadow that matches your lightest makeup color is a good place to start. If you love your shadows too much to give them up invest in bigger frames. The bigger the frame the more visible the eye space you have to play with.
Makeup Tip #5: Boost your brows. Brush brow hairs upward and outward so your brows sit nicely above your frames.
